Living In A Hurry Prevents Us From “living “

Living in a hurry prevents us from "living"

Living thinking about the next moment, living connected to “I have to” or “I must of”, living disconnected from oneself or from everything that surrounds me. Stand up, look, feel, you are here and now, enjoy it. The legend of the Ahoras tells that many times ago humans walked and lived with some birds called “Now”. They stayed with them day by day with their song on their heads and their plumage next to their bodies.

Every time humans saw a beautiful landscape, talked to someone or felt something special, he now pecked them on the head and sang, then people became aware of that moment and saved the memory. They enjoyed the present and were happy.

The Ahoras fed on the emotions that those moments caused and made the humans, whom they accompanied, enjoy more intense lives, despite not having screens with high resolutions and a lot of colors. Thus, a day came when something changed and people began to live with other birds, one with black plumage (the before) and another with white plumage (the after).

Little by little the birds. Now they were losing their song and their whispers until they had hardly any voice. The moments of consciousness were lost. But the legend does not end here, although the Nows do not flutter around us or their song has lost strength, they continue to live in each one of us, waiting for us to become aware of every moment we feel and enjoy.

The rush was never good

We live from one place to another, marked by schedules, by obligations, by meetings, the little ones have agendas full of activities and then the famous phrase that we will all have heard … “It does not give me life”. Life is made to give you and you are the one who seeks what it gives you. It is true that many times it gives us surprises, but there are still more occasions in which we find what we were looking for.

So if I can’t change my calendar, I will have to change the way I view the calendar. Become aware of my inner “Now” to be able to be in every place I am, connect with my mind and with my body and not in a hurry or thinking about the next thing. Walked seconds, hours, days, months or years of what my heart does.

That “the bird of the after” or the “whispers of the past” fail to silence the voice of our immediate consciousness. Let’s make an effort to bring to mind that song of Now and value what we have in each moment. Think that the more we nurture its influence, the more it will be with us.

Live and connect with the present moment

Every day is a new beginning and gives us the opportunity to live another present moment, to save yesterday, to let ourselves be surprised by the after and to feed on now. Recording memories in my memory requires living them and being moved by them. If I sit here and now I will be putting the means to create a good footprint in myself that I will be able to access later.

If, on the other hand, I live fast, without stopping and feeling myself at all times, I do not give the opportunity to see and observe where I am, how I am feeling, what sounds around me at this moment, why I have smiled or why it has tickled me in the stomach and most importantly if I am where I want to be.

I connect, I stand and sit. I enjoy and I get excited. I smile and record in my memory. I manage to remove the outside and live that exact moment. Now I can continue with the rest. Living close to now pushes us to enjoy every moment, time does not exist without me, I am the one who gives meaning to time and I make it mine. If we manage to become aware of ourselves in every moment we can make the most of every second.
